DP World London Gateway

EasyPIT® ULTRA | EasyGRIP®

Container ship berthed at DP World London Gateway

Overview

London Gateway is a £1.5 billion deep-water container port and logistics park near Stanford-le-Hope — the largest project of its kind in Britain, creating 12,000 jobs at the port and an estimated 3,000 more in linked activity. Advanced Infrastructure supplied the EasyPIT® ULTRA chamber system and EasyGRIP® composite covers as part of an ongoing, larger supply contract at DP World.

Approach

The most recent call-off saw EasyPIT® ULTRA chambers deployed across the development’s underground cable and duct network. The twin-wall recycled polypropylene system was selected for its D400 structural rating and modular build — each 150mm ring stacking to depth without a concrete surround for most applications, keeping installation fast on a live, large-scale construction site. EasyGRIP® composite covers were paired with the chambers: non-conductive for electrical and telecoms networks, anti-skid tested for pedestrian areas, and with no scrap value to attract theft across the expansive port estate.
