EasyPIT® ULTRA | Ductile Iron

Aerial view of Drayton sewage treatment works

Overview

Advanced Infrastructure supplied the EasyPIT® ULTRA chamber system alongside ductile iron access covers and frames to the infrastructure works at Drayton Sewage Treatment Works, undertaken by Tilbury Douglas on behalf of Thames Water. The package covered a wide range of chamber sizes across the site’s upgraded underground network.

Approach

The project called for clear openings from 750×750mm up to 1200×1200mm, each supplied with BSI Kitemarked D400 ductile iron covers to suit. EasyPIT® ULTRA’s modular format made the size range straightforward to deliver: left- and right-hand corner components and straight wall sections configure into any standard opening, while 150mm rings stack to the depth required at each location. The twin-wall design provides a full bedding area for each cover and frame, transferring imposed loads cleanly through the chamber — critical in a treatment works environment trafficked by tankers and maintenance vehicles.
